Summary

Create a new object in the selected Anytype space using either simple fields or a raw JSON request body. In simple mode, specify the required type and optionally set its name, Markdown body, template, and typed property values; the node sends a POST request and returns the created object, simplified by default.

Inputs

  • Space (required) — Space where the object will be created; selected from available spaces.
  • Body Mode — Choose Simple to fill in object fields or JSON to provide the raw CreateObjectRequest body.
  • Type Name or ID (required) — In Simple mode, the object type key or ID, such as page or task.
  • Name — Optional object name, sent only when non-empty in Simple mode.
  • Body — Optional object body in Markdown, sent only when non-empty in Simple mode.
  • Template — Optional template ID to create the object from in Simple mode.
  • Properties — Optional property values keyed by property key. Choose a format (text, number, select, multi-select, date, files, checkbox, URL, email, phone, or objects). Multi-select, files, and objects values are comma-separated; dates accept RFC3339 or YYYY-MM-DD. Empty or invalid values may be omitted.
  • Body (JSON) (required) — In JSON mode, provide the raw CreateObjectRequest body; it must include type_key.
  • Simplify — Defaults to true. When enabled, returns flattened object fields including id, name, layout, type key, and available properties; disable to return the raw object payload.

Output shape

A single created object record.

The node unwraps the response's object field. If Simplify is enabled, properties are flattened into a key-value map; otherwise the unflattened object is returned. Request Options can also configure batching, SSL certificate validation, proxy, and timeout.
