Summary

Searches objects across all Anytype spaces using a query, optional type and property filters, and sorting. Choose Simple mode to build the request with fields or JSON mode to provide a raw SearchRequest body; results are simplified by default and can be limited or paginated through all matches.

Inputs

  • Body Mode — Choose Simple to configure search fields, or JSON to provide the raw request body. Defaults to Simple.
  • Query — Text to search within object names and content; omitted from the request when empty.
  • Type Names or IDs — Restrict results to selected object types. File-layout types such as file, image, video, and audio are excluded unless listed.
  • Sort By — Sort by created date, last modified date, last opened date, or name. If omitted, the request sorts by last modified date.
  • Sort Direction — Ascending or descending order; defaults to descending.
  • Filters — Add property conditions combined with AND. Choose a property key, condition, and value format; empty and not-empty conditions omit the value. Use JSON mode for nested OR logic. Multi-select, files, and objects values are entered as comma-separated keys or IDs; dates accept RFC3339 or YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Body (JSON) (required) — In JSON mode, provide the raw SearchRequest body, for example with query, types, sort, and filters.
  • Simplify — Defaults to true. When enabled, each result is flattened to fields such as id, name, layout, type, snippet, space_id, and properties when present. Disable to return the raw object data.
  • Return All — Defaults to false. When enabled, fetch results in pages of 100 until exhausted; otherwise use Limit.
  • Limit — Maximum results when Return All is false; defaults to 50 and accepts 1–1000.

Output shape

A list of n8n items, one per matching object, taken from the response's data array.

The operation uses offset pagination with a page size of 100. Empty result arrays are returned as one item with an empty JSON object. Simplified results retain available object fields and flatten property values.
