Summary

Update an existing Attendance document in ERPNext HRMS using the Frappe REST API v1 or v2.

Inputs

• API Version — Select Frappe REST API version to use for the update (v1 or v2). Defaults to v1.
• Document Name (required) — The unique identifier (name) of the Attendance document to update.
• Data JSON (required) — A JSON object containing the fields and values to update in the Attendance document.

Output shape

a single updated Attendance document record as JSON

Returns the updated document data according to the chosen API version. Operation requires valid credentials and a valid document name. Throws an error if update fails.

Examples

Example 1: Update the status field of an Attendance document with name 'ATT-0001' to 'Present' using API v1

Set 'API Version' to 'v1', 'Document Name' to 'ATT-0001', and provide '{"status": "Present"}' in 'Data JSON'.
