Summary

Parse a full name string from a specified field into components such as firstName, lastName, middleName, prefix, suffix, and initials, outputting them as separate fields with an optional prefix.

Inputs

• nameField (required) — The field containing the full name to parse (e.g., "Dr. John Smith Jr.")
• nameOutputPrefix — Prefix for output fields (e.g., "parsed_" creates parsed_firstName, parsed_lastName). Leave empty for no prefix.
• options.trackChanges — Include a _changes field showing before and after values of modifications.
• options.continueOnFail — Continue processing other items if one item fails.
• options.skipUnchanged — Exclude items from output if no changes were made.
• options.caseInsensitiveFields — Match field names case-insensitively when looking up input field.
• options.debugMode — Include detailed debug info in a _debug field showing field lookup and parsing steps.

Output shape

a list of items, each containing the original data with added parsed name component fields (firstName, lastName, middleName, prefix, suffix, initials, fullName) as strings, optionally prefixed; may include _changes and/or _debug fields depending on options.

Output may include _changes with change details if 'Track Changes' is enabled, and a _debug field showing detailed lookup and processing info if 'Debug Mode' is enabled. Items without a parsable string in the specified nameField are output unchanged except possibly for _changes or _debug fields. Field lookup respects 'Case Insensitive Fields' option.
