Summary

Creates a new GitLab branch from an existing reference.

Inputs

• Branch (required) — Name of the new branch to create.
• Ref (required) — Existing branch or commit SHA to create the new branch from (default: 'main').
• Authentication — Select whether to use saved credentials or custom fields (default: credential).
• Project Locator — Choose how to identify the project (ID or Path) (default: id).

Output shape

A single record containing the created branch details.

Returns the full GitLab API response for the created branch.
