Summary

Create a new contract in the McMain system.

Inputs

• description (required) — Short description of the contract
• vendorId — ID of the vendor of the contract
• contactId — ID of the contact of the contract
• startDate — Start date of the contract
• endDate — End date of the contract
• totalCost — Total costs of the contract
• batchSize — Number of items to process per batch; -1 to disable
• batchInterval — Time in ms between batches; 0 to disable
• allowUnauthorizedCerts — Accept response despite SSL validation errors
• proxy — HTTP proxy URL, optionally with authentication
• timeout — Request timeout in milliseconds

Output shape

a contract object representing the newly created contract

Returns the full contract record; may include pagination metadata in error cases

Examples

Example 1: Create a simple contract with mandatory description only

Set Description to "Sample Contract" and leave other fields empty

Example 2: Create a contract with additional fields and batching

Provide Description, Vendor ID, Start Date, End Date, Total Cost, enable Batching with Batch Size 100 and Interval 500

Example 3: Create contract using proxy and ignore SSL issues

Fill Description and Proxy with "http://proxy:3128", enable Allow Unauthorized Certs, keep defaults
