Summary

Create a new employee in McMain.

Inputs

• id (required) — ID of the employee
• name (required) — Full name of the employee
• additionalFields — Optional fields such as crewId, vendorId, departmentId, phone, email, rate, planningFlag, availableHours, etc.
• requestOptions — Optional request configuration including batching, timeout, proxy, and SSL verification settings.

Output shape

a single employee record

The response returns the created employee's data; fields may be omitted if not set, and errors are signaled via standard HTTP status codes.

Examples

Example 1: Create a new employee with basic details

Set Employee ID to 'E123', Full Name to 'John Doe', add crewId='C1' via Additional Fields, and enable batching with batchSize=100.

Example 2: Create employee with full schedule and rate

Provide all Available Hours fields, set rate to 45.5, planningFlag true, and configure batching interval 500ms.

Example 3: Create employee via HTTPS proxy with custom timeout

Use proxy 'http://proxy:3128', set timeout 15000, and submit name 'Jane Smith' with ID 'E456'.
