Summary

Capture a live URL, raw HTML, or Markdown as an image or PDF. Configure the output in Additional Options, then receive the file as binary data alongside response metadata.

Inputs

  • Source (required) — Choose URL (default), HTML, or Markdown. Supply the required URL, HTML, or Markdown content for that source; HTML and Markdown can be up to 5 MB.
  • Template Data (JSON) — For HTML or Markdown sources, provide a JSON object to fill {{placeholders}} before rendering.
  • Format (required) — Choose PNG (default), JPEG, WebP, or PDF. PDF uses the PDF options; image-specific options do not apply.
  • Binary Property — Name the output binary field for the file; defaults to data.
  • Additional Options — Adjust rendering and capture behavior, including viewport or device, full-page or element capture, waits and timeout, injected CSS or JavaScript, cookies and headers, blocking or hiding page content, dark mode, geo-targeting, image resizing and quality, and PDF page settings. Defaults apply when options are omitted.

Output shape

One n8n item per input item, with JSON metadata and the rendered image or PDF in the configured binary property.

The base64 image returned by Rendex is removed from JSON and decoded into binary data. JSON includes the remaining response data and response meta. If Rendex returns no image data, the operation errors.
