Summary

Create a Rendex watch that checks a URL on a schedule and alerts when its configured visual or text change detection finds a change. The node returns the created watch record for each input item.

Inputs

  • URL (required) — Page to monitor.
  • Check Every (Minutes) — Check interval, default 1440 minutes. The minimum depends on the Rendex plan: Free 1440, Starter 180, Pro 30, Enterprise 5; faster intervals are rejected.
  • Change Detection — Choose both pixel and full-page text diffs (default; alerts on either), text diff, or visual pixel diff. Visual mode cannot monitor PDFs; text mode cannot be combined with geo rendering.
  • Additional Options: Name, Pause — Optionally label the watch or create it paused, so checks do not run until resumed.
  • Additional Options: Change Threshold — Visual sensitivity from 0 to 1, default 0.01. Higher values require a larger visual change; text detection is unaffected.
  • Additional Options: Webhook URL, Notify Email, AI Summary — Configure signed webhook and email change alerts, or request an AI-written summary. Webhooks require Starter or above; email must be the account email and defaults to it when omitted; AI summaries require Pro or Enterprise.
  • Additional Options: Capture Format, Full Page, Device, Dark Mode — Set the capture format (default PNG), whether to monitor the whole scrollable page (default) or viewport, device preset, and dark-mode emulation. PDF works only with text detection.
  • Additional Options: Block Ads, Hide Cookie Banners, Element Selector, Hide Selectors — Control capture cleanup: block ads and trackers (default), optionally hide cookie banners, capture only a CSS-selected element, or remove comma/newline-separated CSS selectors.
  • Additional Options: Geo Country — ISO country code for geo-targeted rendering (Pro or above). Geo rendering is visual-only and cannot be combined with text or both detection modes.
  • Additional Options: Ignore Text, Minimum Text Change (Characters), Suppress While Present — For text detection, strip newline-separated substrings or /regex/flags before diffing, ignore changes below a character threshold, or suppress alerts and baseline updates while any newline-separated marker appears in the page text.
  • Additional Options: Monitor Identity — Choose the monitor User-Agent behavior: automatic identification with fallback (default), always identify as RendexWatch, or use a standard stealth browser.

Output shape

A single JSON watch record per input item.

The request sends the configured watch fields and render settings to Rendex. When enabled, Continue On Fail returns an error JSON item for failed input items.
