Summary

Set metafield values on a Shopify record identified by its global ID. Choose metafield definitions for the owner type and supply values using the fields appropriate to each definition’s type.

Inputs

• authentication — Choose Admin API Credentials (default) or OAuth2 to authenticate with Shopify.
• ownerType — Select Article, Blog, Product (default), Product Variant, Collection, Customer, Order, or Draft Order. This controls the available metafield definitions.
• ownerId (required) — Shopify global ID of the record whose metafield values you want to set.
• metafieldsSetItems — Add metafield entries, each with a required definition and type-specific value fields.
• definition (required) — For each entry, choose a metafield definition from the owner-type-specific list or supply its option value through an expression.
• textValue — Value for text, link, URL, color, language, or ID definitions; shown only for matching types.
• booleanValue — Value for a boolean definition; defaults to false.
• integerValue — Value for an integer definition; defaults to 0.
• numberValue — Value for a decimal definition; defaults to 0.
• dateValue — Value for a date definition.
• dateTimeValue — Value for a date-time definition.
• jsonValue — JSON value for a JSON definition.
• richTextHtml — HTML input declared to be converted to Shopify rich text format.
• emailValue — Value for an email definition.
• moneyAmount — Amount for a money definition; defaults to 0.
• moneyCurrencyCode — Currency code for a money definition; defaults to USD.
• ratingValue — Value for a rating definition; defaults to 0.
• ratingScaleMin — Minimum rating scale value; defaults to 1.
• ratingScaleMax — Maximum rating scale value; defaults to 5.
• dimensionValue — Numeric value for a dimension definition; defaults to 0.
• dimensionUnit — Dimension unit: cm (default), ft, in, m, mm, or yd.
• volumeValue — Numeric value for a volume definition; defaults to 0.
• volumeUnit — Volume unit, including metric, imperial, and US options; defaults to ml.
• weightValue — Numeric value for a weight definition; defaults to 0.
• weightUnit — Weight unit: g (default), kg, oz, or lb.
• listStringArray — JSON array of strings for supported text, file-reference, ID, numeric, URL, color, and date list types; defaults to [].
• listItems — Repeated Value entries for the other declared list types, including boolean, JSON, rich text, money, rating, and measurements.
• referenceGid — Shopify global ID for a single referenced product, variant, collection, customer, order, metaobject, page, or file.
• listReferenceItems — Repeated GID entries for reference lists, except file references, which use listStringArray.
• outputMode — Choose Simplified (default), Raw, or Selected Fields.
• selectedFields — Comma-separated field names to include when Output Mode is Selected Fields.

Output shape

Operation result formatted according to the selected output mode.
