Summary

Fetches the transcript of a Rumble video by POSTing its URL to the TranscriptMagic API (/api/rumble/transcript), returning either a normalized summary or the raw API response.

Inputs

  • url (required) — The Rumble video URL to transcribe. Whitespace is trimmed, and an empty value throws an error.
  • options.outputFormat — Output shape. 'Normalized' (default) returns text, platform, credits and url. 'Raw' returns the upstream API response unchanged.

Output shape

One output item per input item. Normalized format gives { text, platform: "rumble", credits, url }. Raw format gives the TranscriptMagic API JSON body as-is.

In normalized mode, text is taken from the response's transcript string, transcript or transcripts array (segment texts joined by spaces), or text field, and is an empty string if none match. credits is null if the API doesn't return a number. A 429 response triggers one retry after the Retry-After delay (default 5s). Other API errors throw, or with Continue On Fail enabled they return { error: message } for that item. Requires TranscriptMagic API credentials, and each call consumes credits on the account.

Examples

Example 1: Get plain transcript text from a Rumble video to feed into an AI summarizer

Resource: Transcript, Operation: Rumble, URL set to an expression like {{ $json.videoUrl }}, Output Format: Normalized. Use the output 'text' field downstream.

Example 2: Inspect the full upstream response, including any timestamps or segments

Set URL to the Rumble link and add the Options > Output Format = Raw.
