Summary

Fetches a transcript for an X (Twitter) video tweet URL via the TranscriptMagic API (POST /api/twitter/transcript). The operation description limits it to videos under 2 minutes.

Inputs

  • url (required) — URL of the X (Twitter) video tweet to transcribe. Trimmed before sending. The node errors if it is empty. The placeholder shows a YouTube URL, but the URL should be a tweet.
  • options.outputFormat — Output Format. 'Normalized' (default) returns a simplified object. 'Raw' returns the upstream API response unchanged.

Output shape

One output item per input item, paired to its input item. In Normalized mode the item is {text, platform: "twitter", credits, url}. In Raw mode the item is the upstream API JSON body.

In Normalized mode, text is taken from the response's transcript, transcripts or text field (segment arrays are joined with spaces) and is an empty string if none is found. credits is the number returned by the API, or null. On HTTP 429 the node waits for the Retry-After header (default 5s) and retries once. Other API errors throw, unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case the item is {error: message}. Requires TranscriptMagic API credentials, and each call consumes credits.

Examples

Example 1: Transcribe a tweet's video and pass the text to an LLM for summarization.

Operation: X (Twitter); URL: {{ $json.tweetUrl }}; Output Format: Normalized. Use {{ $json.text }} downstream.

Example 2: Inspect the full upstream response for debugging or extra fields.

Operation: X (Twitter); URL set to the tweet link; Options > Output Format: Raw.
