Summary

Creates a new VNTANA product of type Image, Video, Document or Audio and uploads the input item's binary file to it through a signed storage URL.

Inputs

  • Name (required) — Name of the new product.
  • Asset Type (required) — IMAGE, VIDEO, DOCUMENT or AUDIO. It is sent as the product's assetType.
  • Workspace UUID (required) — Target workspace. If left empty, the default workspace UUID from the credentials is used. If neither is set, the operation errors.
  • Binary Property (required) — Name of the input binary property that holds the file (default 'data'). The file name and MIME type come from this binary's metadata. A missing extension is added from the file extension or MIME type.
  • Additional Options — Optional collection. Description, Status (Draft, Live Internal or Live Public; defaults to DRAFT), Tag UUIDs and Project UUIDs (both comma-separated), Attributes as key-value pairs, and Attributes as JSON. JSON attribute values override key-value pairs with the same key.

Output shape

One JSON item per input item: { success, product: { uuid, name, assetType, status, conversionStatus: 'PENDING' }, upload: { fileName, fileSize, contentType, blobId, requestUuid } }.

The binary file is not returned. The product's conversionStatus is hard-coded to 'PENDING', not read back from the API. Before upload, the file must be non-empty, under 30 GB, and have a safe file name. IMAGE must be png, jpeg, webp or gif. VIDEO must be mp4, quicktime or webm. DOCUMENT and AUDIO get no MIME check. The product is created before the file upload, so a failed upload can leave an empty product behind. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors are returned as { error } items.

Examples

Example 1: Upload a PNG downloaded by an HTTP Request node as a live product image.

Name='Hero shot', Asset Type=Image, Binary Property=data, Additional Options: Status=Live Public, Attributes (Key-Value) SKU=ABC123.

Example 2: Upload a PDF spec sheet into a specific workspace and tag it.

Name='Spec sheet', Asset Type=Document, Workspace UUID=, Additional Options: Tag UUIDs='tag1,tag2'.
