Summary

Create a reusable message template for a selected OpenWA session. The template can include {{variable}} placeholders for Message → Send Template to fill when sending.

Inputs

• Session Name or ID (required) — Select the session that will store the template, or provide its ID using an expression.
• Name (required) — Unique template name within the session, up to 100 characters.
• Body (required) — Template text, which may contain {{variable}} placeholders.
• Header — Optional text prepended to the rendered body.
• Footer — Optional text appended to the rendered body.

Output shape

A single record describing the created template.

The template is stored for the selected session and can later be rendered by Message → Send Template.

Examples

Example 1: Create a personalized greeting template.

Choose a session, name the template greeting, and set the body to Hello {{name}}, your order {{orderId}} is ready. Optionally add a header or footer.
