Summary

Create a new ThingsBoard dashboard

Inputs

• authentication — Select authentication method (API Key or Username/Password)
• dashboardInputMode — Select input mode for the dashboard: Title Only or Full JSON
• dashboardTitle (required) — Title for the new dashboard
• dashboardJson (required) — Full ThingsBoard dashboard JSON object; include ID to update existing dashboard

Output shape

a single dashboard object representing the created dashboard

Returns the full dashboard JSON including the generated ID; may contain additional metadata.

Examples

Example 1: Create a dashboard using title only

Authentication set to API Key, Input Mode set to Title Only, Dashboard Title set to 'My New Dashboard', Dashboard JSON left empty.

Example 2: Create a dashboard from a full JSON definition

Authentication set to API Key, Input Mode set to Full JSON, Dashboard JSON set to '{ "title": "My Dashboard", "panels": [ { "type": "TEXT", "title": "Hello", "options": { "text": "Hello World" } } ] }', other fields left default.

Example 3: Create a dashboard using Username/Password credentials

Authentication set to Username / Password, Input Mode set to Title Only, Dashboard Title set to 'Secure Dashboard', Dashboard JSON left empty.
