Summary

Retrieve an Entity Group by its ID.

Inputs

• authentication — Authentication method (API Key or Username/Password) used to connect to ThingsBoard.
• entityGroupId (required) — The ID of the Entity Group to retrieve.

Output shape

a single Entity Group object

Returns the matching group data; if not found an error is thrown.

Examples

Example 1: Fetch an Entity Group by ID using API Key authentication

Set Resource to 'Entity Group', Operation to 'Get by ID', Authentication to 'API Key', and provide the Entity Group ID.

Example 2: Fetch an Entity Group by ID using Username/Password authentication

Set Resource to 'Entity Group', Operation to 'Get by ID', Authentication to 'Username / Password', and provide the Entity Group ID.
