Summary

Deletes specified attribute keys from an entity's attributes in ThingsBoard for a chosen scope.

Inputs

• entityId (required) — A string value representing the entity ID (e.g., device or asset ID).
• entityType — The type of entity (default: DEVICE). Supported for delete operations.
• scope — The attribute scope: CLIENT_SCOPE, SERVER_SCOPE, or SHARED_SCOPE (default: SERVER_SCOPE). All scopes are supported.
• attributeKeys (required) — Comma-separated list of attribute keys to delete (e.g., 'temperature,humidity').

Output shape

a single item with a status message indicating successful deletion

Returns { status: 'Entity attributes deleted successfully' }.

Examples

Example 1: Remove server-scoped attributes from a device

Entity ID: device-123, Scope: SERVER_SCOPE, Attribute Keys: 'location,firmware_version'

Example 2: Delete client-scoped attributes from an asset

Entity ID: asset-456, Scope: CLIENT_SCOPE, Attribute Keys: 'last_seen'
