Summary

Retrieves a file from Directus by its ID.

Inputs

• fileId (required) — The ID of the file to operate on
• fileFieldsToReturn — Select which fields to return in the response. Leave empty to return all fields.
• simplify — If enabled, returns a simplified version of the file object (only essential fields).

Output shape

object

Contains the file metadata as returned by Directus. When simplify is true, the object is reduced to a subset of useful properties.
