Summary

Retrieve multiple items from a specified Directus collection.

Inputs

• collection (required) — The collection to operate on. Choose from the list, or specify an ID using an expression.
• itemFields — Fields to return from each item; leave empty to return all fields.
• returnAll — Whether to return all matching records; when false, respects the limit parameter.
• limit — Maximum number of records to return when returnAll is false.

Output shape

a list of result objects

Each element contains the retrieved data under json. Pagination is controlled by limit and returnAll; errors are handled per-item and may appear as {error: ...} entries.

Examples

Example 1: Get the first 5 items from the 'posts' collection

collection=posts, limit=5

Example 2: Return specific fields from the 'users' collection

collection=user, itemFields=[id,name,email]

Example 3: Fetch all records from the 'files' collection without a limit
