Summary

Imports a file from a public URL into Directus, creating a file record and returning its metadata.

Inputs

• File URL (required) — Public URL to fetch the file from, e.g. 'https://example.com/image.jpg'.

Output shape

object

Returns the file metadata object from Directus after import, typically including fields such as id, filename, filesize, mime_type, upload_date, etc.

Set Resource = File, Operation = Import a File, and provide the image URL in the File parameter.
