Summary

Sends an SMS message to one or more phone numbers using a RingCentral phone number.

Inputs

• authMode — Choose whether to use saved predefined credentials or supply a dynamic access token.
• accessToken — OAuth 2.0 access token required when Authentication Mode is set to Dynamic Access Token.
• serverUrl — RingCentral API base URL (Production or Sandbox) when using dynamic authentication.
• from (required) — The sender's RingCentral phone number configured on your account.
• to (required) — One or more recipient phone numbers, separated by commas.
• text (required) — The text body of the SMS message.
• additionalFields — Optional settings, such as country selection for phone number formatting.

Output shape

a single record

Returns the RingCentral API response object containing details of the sent SMS message, including creation timestamp, message status, sender, and recipient metadata.

Examples

Example 1: Send an SMS alert to a recipient

Set From Phone Number to your RingCentral number, To Phone Number(s) to '+15559876543', and Message Text to 'Your appointment is confirmed for tomorrow at 10 AM.'

Example 2: Send an SMS to multiple numbers using dynamic OAuth authentication

Set Authentication Mode to 'Dynamic Access Token', enter the Access Token, select the From Phone Number, set To Phone Number(s) to '+15551234567, +15559876543', and supply the Message Text.
