AI-generated

Summary

Retrieves recent iMessage chats from the Photon server, each with its participants and (optionally) the last message, and emits one output item per chat.

Inputs

  • Return All — When true, requests up to 1000 chats and ignores Limit. Default false. It is not truly unlimited: the source caps the request at 1000.
  • Limit — Max number of chats to return (min 1, default 50). Only shown and used when Return All is off.
  • Additional Fields > Include Last Message — Whether to include each chat's last message preview. Default true. Only an explicit false drops the lastMessage relation. Participants are always included.

Output shape

One item per chat. Each item holds the chat record returned by the server's chat query (including participants and, if enabled, lastMessage) plus these added fields: displayName, isGroup, participantAddresses and participantCount.

displayName uses the chat's own name if set. Otherwise it is 'Group Chat' for groups, or the first participant's address for DMs. isGroup is true when the chat's style is 43. participantAddresses is an array of participant addresses. participantCount is the length of that array. The request sends only limit and with, so there is no filtering or sorting option. Ordering is whatever the server returns. If the response is not an array, it is returned as a single item. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors come back as an item containing an error message.

Examples

Example 1: Find the chat GUID of a conversation before sending a message

Resource: Chat, Operation: List Chats, Limit 50. Take the guid from the output and pass it to Send Message or Get Messages.

Example 2: Export all conversations with their participants, without message previews

Return All: on; Additional Fields > Include Last Message: off.
