Scheduled Message → Create Scheduled Message

AI-generated

Summary

Schedules a text iMessage to a chat via the Photon server, either once or on a recurring interval (hourly through yearly). Only works for contacts who have already messaged your number.

Inputs

  • Chat GUID (required) — Chat identifier, e.g. iMessage;-;+1234567890 for a DM or iMessage;+;chat123456 for a group. A bare phone/email is also accepted; the node tries iMessage;-;, any;-; and raw variants until one is found.
  • Message (required) — Text body to send at the scheduled time.
  • Send At (required) — Date/time of the first send, converted to a millisecond timestamp.
  • Repeat — Once (default), Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Yearly. Any option other than Once creates a recurring schedule with an interval of 1 of that unit.

Output shape

One item per input item, containing the scheduled-message record returned by the Photon server's POST /api/v1/message/schedule endpoint (the response's data field, or the whole response if there is no data field).

Before scheduling, the node queries the last 25 messages in the chat and throws an error if none are inbound (an anti-spam 'inbound-first' policy). The message is always sent via the private API, and only plain text is supported. If the chat doesn't exist, the node tries to create it from the address in the GUID and retries. With Continue On Fail enabled, errors are returned as {error: message} items.

Examples

Example 1: Send a one-time birthday greeting to a contact who has texted you before

Chat GUID: iMessage;-;+15551234567; Message: Happy birthday! 🎂; Send At: 2026-11-05 09:00; Repeat: Once (No Repeat)

Example 2: Send a weekly reminder to a group chat

Chat GUID: iMessage;+;chat123456; Message: Team sync in 1 hour; Send At: next Monday 08:00; Repeat: Weekly
