Summary

Send a message to the assistant agent with optional context and receive streamed events with the assistant's response, optionally waiting for the complete run to finish.

Inputs

• Message (required) — The text message to send to the assistant agent.
• Context (JSON) — An optional JSON object providing context to the assistant for this message.
• Wait for Completion — Whether to keep polling the assistant run until it finishes to receive the full response, as streams may close early.
• Timeout (Seconds) — The time to wait for the assistant run to complete before returning partial results (only relevant if waiting for completion).
• Options — Additional options such as allowing unauthorized certificates and splitting list results into individual items.

Output shape

a single JSON object containing streamed assistant events, assembled assistant text, run status, and run ID

The node streams NDJSON events representing the assistant's response. If 'Wait for Completion' is true, the node polls the run's replay endpoint until completion or timeout, aggregating events. The output includes a 'text' field with the assembled assistant messages and 'events' array with detailed event objects.
