Summary

Retrieve detailed information about a specific Slack channel by its ID, URL, or selected from a list.

Inputs

• Channel (required) — Select the Slack channel to get by choosing from a searchable list, by entering the channel ID, or by providing the channel URL. The node supports three selection modes: 'From List', 'By ID', and 'By URL'.
• Options — Optional settings to include additional data such as the number of members in the channel.

Output shape

A single channel object containing detailed information about the specified Slack channel, optionally including member count.

The output shape corresponds to the Slack channel object returned by the Slack API's conversations.info endpoint. The 'includeNumMembers' option enables the inclusion of the 'num_members' field in the response. Errors occur if the channel identifier is invalid or the channel is inaccessible.

Examples

Example 1: Get information about a channel by selecting from the channel list.

Select 'From List' mode in the Channel input and choose the desired channel from the dropdown search list.

Example 2: Get information about a channel by specifying its Slack ID.

Select 'By ID' mode and enter the valid Slack channel ID string (e.g., C0122KQ70S7E).

Example 3: Get information about a channel by providing its Slack URL.

Select 'By URL' mode and paste the full channel URL (e.g., https://app.slack.com/client/TS9594PZK/B0556F47Z3A).
