Summary

Add a reaction emoji to a specific Slack message in a given channel.

Inputs

• channelId (required) — The Slack channel containing the message, selected by listing channels, by channel ID, or by channel URL.
• timestamp (required) — The timestamp of the Slack message to which to add the reaction.
• name (required) — The emoji code to use as the reaction, given as an emoji shortcode (e.g., '+1'), not as the Unicode emoji character.

Output shape

a single record containing the Slack API response confirming the reaction was added

Returns data from Slack's reaction add API endpoint. Errors will be thrown if parameters are invalid or the reaction cannot be added.

Examples

Example 1: Workflow adds a ':thumbsup:' reaction to a message with timestamp '1663233118.856619' in channel 'C0122KQ70S7E'

Set 'Channel' to ID mode with value 'C0122KQ70S7E', 'Message Timestamp' to 1663233118.856619, and 'Emoji Code' to '+1'.
