Summary

Retrieve the permalink URL of a specific Slack message within a given channel.

Inputs

• Channel — Select the Slack channel where the message is located. Choose from a list, provide channel ID, or specify channel URL.
• Message Timestamp (required) — Provide the exact timestamp of the Slack message whose permalink you want to retrieve.

Output shape

a single string containing the permalink URL of the specified message

The output contains only the permalink URL as a string. If the channel or message timestamp is invalid or the message cannot be found, the node will error accordingly.

Examples

Example 1: Getting permalink of a message in a known channel via channel ID

Channel set by ID to 'C0122KQ70S7E', timestamp set to the message's timestamp number.

Example 2: Getting permalink of a message by selecting channel from list

Channel selected from searchable list using internal method, timestamp set appropriately.
