Summary

Send a text message through a selected WhatsApp session using the WhatGHL node.

Inputs

• Session Mode (required) — Choose how the sender session is selected: Auto (default backend selection), By Session Name (input session name), or Select Session (choose from available sessions for the API key).
• Session — When Session Mode is 'Select Session', select the exact session ID from available sessions.
• Session Name — When Session Mode is 'By Session Name', specify the WAHA session name to use as sender.
• Chat ID (required) — Destination chat ID where the text message will be sent. Can be provided directly or mapped from incoming data.
• Content (required) — The text body of the message to send.

Output shape

a single JSON object per item containing the API response from the /actions endpoint

The node sends a POST request to the WhatGHL API /actions endpoint with action 'send_message', including chatId, content, and type 'text'. It requires valid credentials (baseUrl and apiKey). Returns the API response JSON. Errors throw with descriptive messages. Session selection is enforced based on Session Mode.

Examples

Example 1: Send a hello message in Auto session mode

Configure Session Mode as 'Auto', set Chat ID to the target recipient's chat ID, and Content with the text to send.

Example 2: Send message specifying session by name

Set Session Mode to 'By Session Name', provide the WAHA session name, and fill Chat ID and Content accordingly.
