Summary

Mark messages in a chat or group as seen to indicate they have been read by the sender session.

Inputs

• Session Mode — Choose how WhatGHL selects the sender session: Auto selection, by specific session name, or by session selector.
• Session ID — Select a specific session from available sessions when using 'Select Session' mode.
• Session Name — Specify the WAHA session name when using 'By Session Name' mode.
• Chat ID (required) — The identifier of the destination chat or group where the messages will be marked as seen.
• Seen Message IDs — Optional list of message IDs to mark as seen. Format supports JSON array or comma-separated IDs. If empty, marks all unread messages as seen.
• Seen Participant — Required only for group chats if specific message IDs are provided; set the participant JID who has seen the messages.
• Send Seen Delay (Seconds) (required) — The delay in seconds to wait after marking messages as seen before proceeding to the next node, minimum 1 second.

Output shape

a single JSON response object

The node returns the API response JSON confirming the send seen action. The workflow will pause for the specified delay after sending the seen acknowledgment before continuing.

Examples

Example 1: Mark all unread messages in a chat as seen

Set the Chat ID for the chat whose messages are to be marked as seen, leave Seen Message IDs empty, and configure optional Session Mode as needed.

Example 2: Mark specific messages as seen in a group chat

Provide Chat ID, list of Seen Message IDs, and Seen Participant JID to specify which messages and participant's read status to update.
