Summary

Fetch the picture of a specified WhatsApp group, optionally requesting a fresh image from the provider.

Inputs

• Group ID (required) — The unique identifier of the WhatsApp group to fetch the picture for. Accepts standard WhatsApp group IDs ending with '@g.us' or numeric IDs.
• Refresh Picture — If enabled, forces the provider to retrieve a fresh copy of the group picture rather than a cached version.
• Session Mode — Determines how the sending session is selected: Auto (default backend session selection), By Session Name (specific WAHA session), or By Session Selector (select from available sessions for the API key).
• Session Name — When using 'By Session Name' mode, provide the exact WAHA session name to use as the sender.
• Session — When using 'Select Session' mode, pick from available sessions tied to the API key.

Output shape

a single JSON object containing the group picture URL and metadata, returned in the node output JSON.

Requires a valid Group ID and appropriate session selection parameters. The response depends on the provider's API and includes the picture URL or related data. Errors occur if inputs are missing or invalid.

Examples

Example 1: Get the current group picture for a specific WhatsApp group without forcing a refresh.

Provide the Group ID, use the default session mode 'Auto', and set 'Refresh Picture' to false or leave unset. On execution, the node queries the WhatGHL API and returns the picture data in JSON form.
