PDF4meInstall

Summary

Converts Markdown to a PDF through PDF4me. Provide the Markdown as an incoming binary file, base64-encoded content, raw Markdown code, or a URL; configure the source document name and output PDF name as needed.

Inputs

• Input Data Type (required) — Choose Binary Data, Base64 String, Markdown Code, or URL. The selected mode determines which Markdown input field is used.
• Input Binary Field (required) — For Binary Data, names the incoming binary property containing the Markdown file; defaults to data.
• Base64 Markdown Content (required) — For Base64 String, provide the Markdown content encoded in base64.
• Markdown Code (required) — For Markdown Code, enter raw Markdown; the property description says it is converted to base64 automatically.
• Markdown URL (required) — For URL, provide the address of the Markdown file.
• Output File Name — Name for the generated PDF; defaults to markdown_to_pdf_output.pdf.
• Document Name — Name of the source Markdown document, including its extension; defaults to sample.md.
• Output Binary Field Name — Name of the binary property for the output PDF; defaults to data.
• Custom Profiles — Optional JSON-formatted custom properties for the PDF4me API.

Output shape

An n8n item containing the converted PDF as binary data.

The output binary property uses the configured Output Binary Field Name. The supplied source pack shows only the operation's function signature, so does not expose further runtime details.

Examples

Example 1: Convert Markdown from a previous node

Select Binary Data and set Input Binary Field to the property containing the Markdown file.

Example 2: Convert Markdown written in the node

Select Markdown Code and enter raw Markdown.
