Inputs

  • Template file type and output type (required) — Choose a PDF4me Word, Mail Merge, Google Docs, HTML, or PDF template. Choose PDF or Word output for Word, Mail Merge, and Google Docs templates; HTML output for HTML templates; PDF output for PDF templates.
  • Template file (required) — Provide the template as binary data from an incoming item (binary property defaults to data), base64 content, a URL, or raw HTML code for HTML templates. Specify its filename; it is required for base64, URL, and HTML Code inputs.
  • Document data format and content (required) — Choose JSON, XML, or CSV data. Supply it as text, a binary property (defaults to data), base64 content, or a URL, and provide the filename when using binary, base64, or URL input. Text is entered in the selected format.
  • Keep PDF Editable — When PDF output is selected, choose whether generated PDF form fields remain editable; defaults to false.
  • Binary Data Output Name — Set the name of the binary property holding the generated document; defaults to data.

Output shape

A single n8n item containing the generated document as binary data.

The binary property name is configurable. The operation can be looped over input items to generate multiple documents.
