Summary

Sets a user’s LearningSuite custom field to a value matching the field’s type. For file, image, video, or audio fields, uploads files from input binary properties and applies the selected file handling mode.

Inputs

• User Name or ID (required) — The user whose custom field to update; select a user or provide an ID.
• Profile ID, Profile Index — Optional profile selector. Profile ID takes precedence over Profile Index; the index is used when no ID is provided.
• Field Key Name or ID (required) — The custom field to update.
• Field Type Name or ID — The field type, automatically detected from the selected field; determines which value input is shown.
• Field Value (required) — Provide a value matching the field type: text, number, boolean, date/time, one option, multiple options, or a fallback value for other types.
• Binary Property (required) — For files, images, videos, or audio, the name of the input binary property containing files. Multiple property names can be comma-separated.
• File Value Mode — For media fields, choose whether to append uploads, replace existing values, or append unless doing so would exceed the field limit.
• File Name — For file fields, optionally override the uploaded file name; otherwise the source binary file name is used.

Output shape

A single result per input item containing the updated custom field value.

Media values are uploaded before being written to the field. The Add mode fails if the field limit would be exceeded; the other modes replace existing values as selected or needed to stay within the limit.
