Summary

Updates one custom field on a LearningSuite user profile, using the selected card, profile, field, and value. For file, image, video, or audio fields, uploads the input binary file or files and applies the selected file handling mode.

Inputs

• User Name or ID (required) — User whose custom field data to update.
• Card Name or ID (required) — Custom field card containing the field.
• Profile selector — Choose a profile by Profile ID, Profile Index, or Profile Name. Profile ID takes precedence, then Profile Index, then Profile Name; if none is specified, the operation uses the default profile.
• Field Key Name or ID (required) — Custom field to update on the selected card.
• Field Type Name or ID — Detected from the selected field; determines which value input is shown.
• Field Value (required) — Set a string, number, boolean, date/time, single option, multiple options, or another supported field value, depending on the field type.
• Binary Property (required) — For file, image, video, or audio fields, name or comma-separated names of input binary properties to upload.
• File Value Mode — For media fields, choose whether to append files, replace existing values, or replace existing values only when adding would exceed the field limit. Defaults to Add.
• File Name — Optional custom file name for file fields; defaults to the binary data's original file name.

Output shape

One result per input item, containing the updated profile field data.

File and media values are uploaded before being written to the custom field. Exact response fields depend on the LearningSuite API response.
