Summary

Creates a new price book within the TurboDocx system using a specified type, validity period, and optional product-specific pricing or blanket discounts.

Inputs

• name (required) — The name of the price book.
• priceBookTypeId (required) — The UUID of the price book type to assign.
• validFrom (required) — The date and time the price book becomes valid.
• productPricing — A JSON array of per-product pricing. Each item requires productId and may include discountPercent, discountType, discountAmount, or finalPrice.
• additionalFields — A collection of optional fields including description, discountPercent (applied to all products), isDefault, showInQuoteBuilder, and validTo.

Output shape

The ID of the newly created price book

The response contains the ID of the created price book; other standard API fields are included in the JSON response body.

Examples

Example 1: Create a price book with a single product discount

Set name, priceBookTypeId, and validFrom. In productPricing, add an item with productId and discountPercent (e.g., 10).

Example 2: Create a price book with a blanket discount and default status

Set name, priceBookTypeId, and validFrom. In additionalFields, set discountPercent to 15 and isDefault to true.
