Summary

Update a specific quote line item within a given quote by specifying its unique IDs and modify any desired fields such as pricing, quantity, discounts, category, and descriptions.

Inputs

• Quote ID (required) — UUID of the quote the line items belong to.
• Line Item ID (required) — UUID of the line item to update.
• Update Fields — A collection of optional fields to update on the line item, including billing frequency, category ID and name (with options to clear them), cost, discount amount or percent, discount type, display order, product description, product name, product SKU, quantity, visibility to end user, and unit price.

Output shape

a single record representing the updated quote line item.

The output includes only the updated line item data; partial updates are supported by specifying only desired fields in Update Fields. Errors return standard n8n error messages.

Examples

Example 1: Update quantity and unit price of a given line item

Set Quote ID and Line Item ID to target the line item, then set Quantity and Unit Price in Update Fields.
