Summary

Updates a sign-in card message in an M365 Agent conversation.

Inputs

• authKind — Authentication method for the bot. Default: classicBot. Options: Classic Bot (Azure Bot Service) + Entra App Registration, or Agent 365 (Entra Agent Identity, no Azure Bot resource needed). noDataExpression: true.
• conversationSource — Source of conversation routing info. Default: envelope. From Envelope uses conversationReference from the current item (works for replies/updates/deletes). Specify Manually requires filling serviceUrl, conversationId, channelId. noDataExpression: true.
• serviceUrl (required) — Bot Connector service URL for the target channel. Placeholder: https://smba.trafficmanager.net/emea/. Only shown when conversationSource=manual and resource=signInCard.
• conversationId (required) — Conversation ID. For Teams channels looks like 19:xxx@thread.tacv2. Can use an expression such as {{ $JSON.channelId }} if stored upstream. Only shown when conversationSource=manual and resource=signInCard.
• channelId — Azure Bot Service channel the conversation belongs to. Default: msteams. Options: Direct Line, Emulator, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Teams, Web Chat. Only shown when conversationSource=manual and resource=signInCard.
• activityId — Required only for Reply/Update/Delete operations against a specific activity. Leave empty for proactive sends. Only shown when conversationSource=manual and resource=signInCard.
• title (required) — Label shown on the sign-in button. Default: empty string. Shown when resource=signInCard and operation=send or update.
• url (required) — Authentication URL the user is sent to. Placeholder: https://.../auth/start. Default: empty string. Shown when resource=signInCard and operation=send or update.
• text — Optional body text shown above the sign-in button. Default: empty string. Type options: rows: 2. Shown when resource=signInCard and operation=send or update.
• options — Optional collection of advanced settings. Default: empty object. Shown when resource=signInCard and operation=send or update. Contains: rawActivityOverride (string, typeOptions.rows:4, placeholder JSON), which replaces the constructed Activity body with raw JSON if provided. Must parse to a JSON object.
• identityMode — How the agent identifies for the update operation. Default: autonomous. Only shown when authKind=agent365, resource=signInCard, operation=update. Options: Autonomous (agent acts as Blueprint app identity), Agent User Agent (agent acts as its own M365 user, requires sidecar transport and separate license). noDataExpression: true.
• userSelectorMode — Selector mode for the agent user when identityMode=agentUser. Default: byUpn. Only shown when authKind=agent365, resource=signInCard, operation=update, identityMode=agentUser. Options: By UPN, By Object ID. noDataExpression: true.
• agentUsername — UPN of the agentic user. Default: {{ $credentials.defaultAgentUsername || '' }}, placeholder: agent@contoso.com. Only shown when authKind=agent365, resource=signInCard, operation=update, identityMode=agentUser, userSelectorMode=byUpn.
• agentUserId — Object ID of the agentic user. Placeholder: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Only shown when authKind=agent365, resource=signInCard, operation=update, identityMode=agentUser, userSelectorMode=byObjectId.

Output shape

Updated activity bundle returned by the bot connector, or an error if authentication/conversation routing fails.

The operation dispatches an update to the sign-in card within the active conversation. Authentication is resolved via the selected authKind (classicBot or agent365). Conversation routing follows conversationSource: envelope for reply/update/delete flows from the current item, or manual fields (serviceUrl, conversationId, channelId) for proactive sends. Identity mode and user selector only apply when authKind=agent365 and operation=update.
