Summary

Updates a video card message in an existing conversation, modifying its content and actions based on provided properties and conversation reference.

Inputs

• authKind — Authentication kind: Classic Bot (Azure Bot Service) or Agent 365 (Entra Agent Identity). Default: classicBot.
• conversationSource — Where conversation routing info comes from: From Envelope uses conversationReference from current item; Specify Manually requires serviceUrl and conversationId. Default: envelope.
• serviceUrl — Bot Connector service URL for the target channel. Required when conversationSource is Specify Manually. Default: empty string. Placeholder: https://smba.trafficmanager.net/emea/
• conversationId — Conversation ID. For Teams channels this looks like 19:…@thread.tacv2. Required when conversationSource is Specify Manually. Default: empty string. Placeholder: 19:xxx@thread.tacv2
• channelId — Azure Bot Service channel the conversation belongs to. Options: Direct Line, Emulator, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Microsoft Teams, Web Chat. Default: msteams.
• activityId — Required only for Update/Delete against a specific activity. Leave empty for proactive sends. Default: empty string.
• title (required) — Title of the video card. Default: empty string.
• subtitle — Subtitle of the video card. Default: empty string.
• text — Text content of the video card. Type options: rows=3. Default: empty string.
• posterImageUrl — URL of a poster/preview image shown before playback. Default: empty string.
• posterImageAltText — Alt text for the poster image. Default: empty string.
• media — Media items with URL and optional quality/format hint. Fixed collection, multiple values. Default: empty object.
• buttons — Button actions with type, title, value, and optional channel-specific data. Fixed collection, multiple values. Default: empty object.
• options — Video card options including aspect ratio, autoloop, autostart, duration (ISO-8601 like PT5M), fallback text, raw activity override, shareable flag, and opaque value object. Collection. Default: empty object.
• identityMode — Identity mode for Agent 365 updates: autonomous (Agent acts as its Blueprint app identity) or agentUser (Agent acts as its own M365 user, requires sidecar transport and separate license). Default: autonomous.
• userSelectorMode — Method to select the agentic user: By UPN or By Object ID. Required when identityMode is agentUser. Default: byUpn.
• agentUsername — UPN of the agentic user. Defaults to credential's Default Agent Username. Placeholder: agent@contoso.com.
• agentUserId — Object ID of the agentic user. Placeholder: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.

Output shape

Acknowledgment of the update operation; typically returns the updated activity or conversation reference status.

The rawActivityOverride property allows replacing the constructed Activity body with raw JSON (must parse to a JSON object). Identity mode and user selector fields only appear when authKind is agent365 and operation is update.
