Summary

Update an existing contact in the BackOffice ERP system by specifying its Contact Id and providing updated contact details.

Inputs

• Contact Id (required) — The identifier of the contact to update. Supports exact ID or smart search by name, email, or keyword.
• Id (required) — Customer Contact id, supporting smart search by name, email, or keyword.
• Firstname (required) — The contact's first name.
• Lastname (required) — The contact's last name.
• Email (required) — The contact's email address.
• Title — The contact's position or title.
• Phone Number — The contact's phone number.
• Password — Password, required only if the send_set_password_email parameter is set.
• Send set password email — Flag to send the contact a set password email (set to "on" or omit).
• Donotsendwelcomeemail — Flag to prevent sending a welcome email (set to "on" or omit).
• Permissions — Permissions assigned to this contact, as an array of strings (e.g., ["1", "2", "3"]).
• Email Notifications — Optional flags for email notifications for invoices, estimates, credit notes, projects, tickets, tasks, and contracts, each set to the field name or omitted.

Output shape

a list containing one JSON object representing the updated contact details or error information

If multiple contacts match the Contact Id search term, the node returns an object notifying the multiple matches found. Errors thrown if required fields are missing or no matching contact is found. Supports smart search to resolve names or keywords into exact IDs.

Examples

Example 1: Update a contact with first name, last name, email, and phone number by specifying the Contact Id via name search.

Set 'Contact Id' to "John Doe" (smart search), provide 'Firstname', 'Lastname', 'Email', and optional fields as required.
