Summary

Updates the reminder and expiration notification settings on a DocuSign envelope, either with custom values or by reverting to the account-level defaults.

Inputs

• authentication — Authentication method: JWT (Service Integration, default) or OAuth2 (User Authorization).
• envelopeId (required) — ID of the envelope whose notification settings are updated.
• useAccountDefaults — If true, uses the account-level reminder/expiration defaults instead of the custom values. Default false.
• reminderSettings — Collection with Enable Reminders (boolean), Reminder Delay in days before the first reminder (default 2, min 1), and Reminder Frequency in days between later reminders (default 1, min 1).
• expirationSettings — Collection with Enable Expiration (boolean), Expire After in days (default 120, min 1), and Warn Before Expiry in days before the sender is warned (default 3, min 1).

Output shape

A single item containing the DocuSign API response for the envelope notification update.

The source pack does not include the handler body for this operation (handleEnvelopeNotificationUpdate). The exact request mapping and response fields are therefore not confirmed here. Only the declared parameters are described. API errors are raised as node errors, with retry on rate limits and 5xx responses.

Examples

Example 1: Send a reminder every 2 days after an initial 3-day delay, and expire the envelope after 30 days.

envelopeId set from a previous step; reminderSettings: Enable Reminders on, delay 3, frequency 2; expirationSettings: Enable Expiration on, expire after 30, warn 5.

Example 2: Reset an envelope to the account's standard notification policy.

envelopeId set; useAccountDefaults enabled; leave the reminder and expiration collections empty.
