Summary

Update metadata fields of a media item identified by its rating key on the Plex Media Server.

Inputs

• Rating Key (required) — The rating key (ID) of the media item to update.
• Update Fields — A collection of optional metadata fields to update, including Title, Sort Title, Originally Available At (date), Studio, Content Rating, Summary, Tagline, and Rating (0-10).

Output shape

a single JSON object representing the updated media item metadata as returned by the Plex server.

The operation sends a PUT request to update the media metadata and returns the updated media details in JSON. Only fields included in Update Fields are changed; others remain unaffected. Errors will be returned if the rating key is invalid or the update fails.
