Summary

Search the specified Plex library section for media items matching a text query, optionally filtered by media type, and return either all or a limited number of results.

Inputs

• Query (required) — The text to search for within the selected library section.
• Library Key (required) — The key or ID of the Plex library section to search in.
• Return All — Whether to retrieve all matching results or limit the output to a maximum number.
• Limit — Maximum number of search results to return when Return All is false (min 1, max 500).
• Options — Additional options including filtering the search results by media type such as Movie, Show, Season, Episode, Artist, Album, or Track.

Output shape

a list of matching media item objects from the Plex Media Server library section, each containing metadata as returned by the Plex API.

The operation returns metadata of search results as an array. When 'Return All' is true, all matching results are returned via paginated requests; otherwise, the number of results is limited by the 'Limit' parameter. Filtering by media type is optional and can be set via the 'Type' option.
