Summary

Set or clear one custom field on a SendSeven contact. The operation sends the field definition ID and value through the contact update endpoint, where SendSeven validates and coerces the value according to the field type.

Inputs

• Authentication — Use API Key or OAuth2 credentials to authenticate.
• Contact ID (required) — The unique ID of the contact to update.
• Custom Field Name or ID (required) — Select an active custom field definition or provide its ID.
• Value — Value to set when Clear Field Instead is off. The accepted type depends on the field definition and is validated by SendSeven.
• Clear Field Instead — When enabled, clears the selected field instead of sending Value. Defaults to off.

Output shape

A single result object for each input item.

Includes contactId, fieldId, success, a message indicating whether the field was updated or cleared, and value when the updated contact response contains the confirmed field value. With Continue On Fail enabled, failures produce an item containing an error string.
