Summary

Lists the chats of a selected WAOtomatis WhatsApp session, most recent first, emitting one n8n item per chat. It can return a bounded number of chats or page through all of them.

Inputs

• Session (required) — The connected WhatsApp number (session) to list chats for. Choose it from a searchable dropdown or enter a session ID, which must match ^[A-Za-z0-9_-]+$. Expressions are supported.
• Return All — When true, pages through every cursor in batches of 100 until no more results remain. Defaults to false.
• Limit — Maximum number of chats to return. Shown only when Return All is false. Defaults to 50, minimum 1.

Output shape

A list of items, one per chat, each containing the chat object returned by the WAOtomatis API (GET /v1/sessions/{sessionId}/chats). Items are paired to the input item that produced them.

The exact chat fields come from the API and aren't defined in the node. If the API returns no chats, the node emits no items for that input. If Continue On Fail is enabled, a failure produces an item with an error message instead. Results are fetched per input item, so multiple input items cause multiple list calls.

Examples

Example 1: Fetch the 20 most recent chats for a support number.

Session: pick from list; Return All: off; Limit: 20.

Example 2: Export every chat for a session to a spreadsheet.

Session: select by ID; Return All: on.
