WAOtomatisInstall

Summary

Fetches a single WhatsApp contact by its WhatsApp ID from a chosen WAOtomatis session (connected WhatsApp number).

Inputs

• Session (required) — The WAOtomatis session to query. Pick it from a searchable list or enter an ID (letters, digits, underscore, hyphen). The node throws an error if no session is selected.
• Contact (WA ID) (required) — The contact's WhatsApp ID, which is the phone number in E.164 digits, e.g. 628123456789. It is URL-encoded in the request path.

Output shape

One output item per input item. Its JSON is the contact record returned by the WAOtomatis API (GET /v1/sessions/{sessionId}/contacts/{contactId}).

The exact fields depend on the API response and aren't defined in the node. If the contact isn't found or the request fails, the node throws an API error that includes the API's message and code. With Continue On Fail enabled, it returns an item with an error message instead.

Example 1: Look up a contact's details after an inbound message arrives.

Session: pick from list; Contact (WA ID): expression such as {{ $json.from }} from the trigger data.

Example 2: Check whether a known phone number exists as a contact in a session.

Session: By ID 'sess_01H…'; Contact (WA ID): 628123456789.
