Summary

Lists the known contacts of a selected WAOtomatis session (connected WhatsApp number), returning one output item per contact, either up to a limit or all of them.

Inputs

• Session (required) — The WAOtomatis session (connected WhatsApp number) to list contacts from. Pick it from a searchable list or enter a session ID (letters, digits, underscore, hyphen) or an expression. The node errors if none is selected.
• Return All — If enabled, pages through every cursor (100 per request) and returns all contacts. Default false.
• Limit — Maximum number of contacts to return (minimum 1, default 50). Shown only when Return All is off.

Output shape

A list of items, one per contact, each holding the contact record exactly as returned by the WAOtomatis API (GET /v1/sessions/{sessionId}/contacts).

The source doesn't define the contact fields, so they depend on the API. Each output item is paired with its input item. With a limit set, results are trimmed to exactly that many. If the API fails, the node throws an error that includes the API's message and code. With Continue On Fail enabled, it outputs an item with an error message instead.

Examples

Example 1: Fetch the first 50 contacts of a WhatsApp number for a quick review.

Session: pick from list; Return All: off; Limit: 50.

Example 2: Export the full contact list to a spreadsheet or CRM.

Session: pick from list; Return All: on, which pages through all results.

Example 3: Run the listing for a session ID supplied by an earlier node.

Session: By ID mode with an expression such as {{ $json.sessionId }}; Return All: off; Limit: 100.
