Summary

Edit the caption of a specific message in a Telegram chat by providing the chat ID, target message ID, and new caption text, with optional parse mode and additional fields to modify message properties.

Inputs

• Chat ID (required) — Unique identifier for the target chat or username (@channelusername) where the message exists.
• Message ID (required) — Unique identifier of the target message whose caption will be edited.
• Caption (required) — New caption text to set for the message.
• Parse Mode — Optional. How to parse the caption text; options include 'None', 'Markdown', 'MarkdownV2', and 'HTML' to format the caption accordingly.
• Additional Fields — Optional. Additional parameters such as disabling notifications, protecting content, replying to a message, setting message thread ID, disabling web page preview, or allowing sending without reply.

Output shape

A single record containing the updated message object as returned by Telegram API's editMessageCaption method.

The operation returns the edited message details upon success. Errors throw exceptions unless 'Continue On Fail' is enabled.

Examples

Example 1: Edit an existing message caption with Markdown formatting and disable the link preview.

Provide 'chat_id', 'message_id', 'caption' with new text, select 'Markdown' as parse mode, and enable 'disable_web_page_preview' in additional fields.
