Proposal → Create Proposal

AI-generated

Summary

Creates an Upwork proposal by sending a GraphQL mutation with the configured proposal input. Use the input object expected by your Upwork app; the default example includes a job ID, cover letter, and bid amount.

Inputs

  • Authentication (required) — Choose OAuth2 (default) or API Token and configure the matching Upwork credentials.
  • Proposal Input — JSON object passed as the GraphQL mutation's input. The displayed default includes jobId, coverLetter, and bidAmount; provide fields that match the input type assigned to your Upwork app.
  • Advanced → GraphQL Query Override — Replace the built-in create proposal mutation.
  • Advanced → Variables — JSON object merged into the generated GraphQL variables; matching keys can override generated variables.
  • Advanced → Item Path — Dot path used to select the result. Defaults to createProposal.proposal.

Output shape

One n8n item per extracted result, each containing id, resource, operation, data, and _meta fields.

The default mutation requests the proposal's id, status, and createdAt. If the selected result is a GraphQL connection, nodes or edges are unwrapped automatically; an object result becomes one item. GraphQL and validation errors fail the operation unless Continue On Fail is enabled, in which case an error item is returned.
