Talent → Search Talent

AI-generated

Summary

Searches Upwork talent profiles with a GraphQL query and emits one n8n item per returned profile.

Inputs

  • Authentication (required) — Choose OAuth2 or API Token credentials.
  • Search Query — Search expression passed to Upwork; defaults to an empty string.
  • Limit — Number of profiles requested (default 25; UI range 1–100).
  • Cursor — Optional GraphQL pagination cursor passed as the after variable.
  • Advanced: GraphQL Query Override — Replaces the built-in talent search query when non-empty.
  • Advanced: Variables — JSON object merged into the generated GraphQL variables; supplied keys can override the generated search query, limit, or cursor.
  • Advanced: Item Path — Dot path to the result in the GraphQL response; defaults to talentSearch. Connections with nodes or edges are unwrapped automatically.

Output shape

A list of n8n items, one per extracted profile.

Each item has json fields id, resource, operation, data, and _meta (source, fetch time, and transport). The built-in query requests profile ID, name, title, description, hourly rate, skills, and location. A cursor is passed through, but the operation does not automatically fetch subsequent pages. With Continue On Fail enabled, an input error produces an item containing error and itemIndex.
