Summary

Update properties of an existing asset in SuperOps such as its name, client account, site, requester, or custom fields.

Inputs

• assetId (required) — The unique ID of the asset to update.
• updateFields — Collection of fields to update on the asset, including Client Account ID, Custom Fields (JSON), Name, Requester User ID, and Site ID.

Output shape

a single record

Returns an object representing the updated asset with assetId, name, assetClass, client, site, requester, and customFields.

Examples

Example 1: Rename an asset and move it to a new site

Set Asset ID to '10293847', and under Update Fields set Name to 'HQ-SRV-01' and Site ID to '55432'.

Example 2: Update custom field values on an asset

Set Asset ID to '10293847', and under Update Fields set Custom Fields (JSON) to '{"location":"Building B"}'.
